The Urban Neighborhoods Alliance is starting a Housing Center within UNA that will have a base office but will be a proactive education "office" that will have a presence in the neighborhoods.

The goal of the center is to provide the necessary tools for neighborhood residents to be successful homeowners and renters, and improve their quality of life.  The center will promote services available, educate residents, and build strong relationships between all parties.

The Housing Center will include, but not be limited to the following:
    --Pre and post purchase counseling and individual budget and credit counseling;
    --Homebuyer's Club;
    --Leadership development training;
    --Home repair, maintenance, appraisal and insurance workshops;
    --Tool lending library;
    --Resources to available loan programs;
    --Education campaign to fight predatory lending;
    --Establishment of Workforce Home Benefit programs;
    --Creation of a housing inventory for the neighborhoods within the UNA boundaries;
    --Neighborhood outreach; and
    --Acquisition, rehab, resale program
